Tim Pawlenty will make it official on Monday with an event in Des Moines, Iowa.
Pawlenty’s announcement, coming only two months after he formed an exploratory committee, will include Monday morning appearances on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and CBS’s “The Early Show,” according to several sources.
Following his announcement, the former two-term governor of Minnesota will travel to Florida for a town hall meeting, and will address reporters at The Biltmore hotel in Coral Gables later in the day.
Earlier today, Pawlenty’s campaign unveiled its team of advisers in Iowa, an impressive group headed by former state party chairman Chuck Larson, Jr., a former ambassador to Latvia.
Pawlenty’s Iowa team will also include former RNC operative Karen Slifka, Ed Failor, Jr., who previously headed the influential Iowa for Tax Relief organization, and Des Moines political consultant Eric Woolson, a former journalist who managed Mike Huckabee’s 2008 presidential campaign in Iowa.
