Fred Karger, who has spent more time in New Hampshire than any other Republican presidential candidate, returned to the Granite State on Wednesday for five days of non-stop campaigning. This is Karger’s sixteenth trip to New Hampshire in the past seventeen months.
Karger, the first openly gay person to seek a major-party presidential nomination, spoke at a local Republican committee meeting in Laconia on Wednesday evening.
Karger’s five-day tour of the state — the site of the first-in-the-nation primary — will include a Chamber of Commerce breakfast this morning in Manchester, followed by a noon luncheon with the Seacoast Republican Women’s Club in Hampton. He also plans to stop in Exeter and Keene during his five-day campaign swing.
His trip also includes a precinct walk with supporters in Manchester on Saturday.
Karger, 61, said that he plans to take up full-time residence in the state shortly and is currently house hunting in Manchester.
