We can exclusively report that a release date has been set for Darcy G. Richardson’s latest book, Out of the Desert: The Libertarian Party at 40.
The title will be available for sale on Amazon.com and at other retailers on July 4, 2012!
Out of the Desert, we are told, provides a fascinating overview of the Libertarian Party’s first four decades with a focus on some of the key figures and events that have helped shape American’s third largest political party. The new book will be particularly valuable to those who are newer to the Libertarian movement and who may be unfamiliar with some of the figures who have helped build the LP. Another element of the book traces 2012 presidential candidate Gary Johnson’s career in New Mexico and his conversion to the Libertarian Party earlier this year.
The title Out of the Desert alludes both to Johnson’s arid home state, New Mexico, and also the Biblical story of a 40-year journey to the Promised Land.
Richardson is a third party historian and author of the on-going, seven-volume series Others, as well as A Nation Divided: The 1968 Presidential Campaign. He is also a co-founder of Uncovered Politics.
This book is being published by Fitzgerald Press.
I’ll be looking forward to this.
Will it be available at Barnes and Noble?
