One Libertarian and two Green Party candidates are doing well in a new University of Delaware survey released earlier today.
Both of Delaware’s incumbent members of Congress who are standing for re-election this year hold wide leads over their challengers.
In the U.S. Senate election, Democrat Chris Coons captures 50% of the vote to 25% for Republican Kevin Wade and 7% for Green Party nominee Andrew Groff. In addition to the Green nomination, Groff’s campaign has also been endorsed by the Libertarian Party of Delaware.
Meanwhile, Democrat John Carney is cruising to re-election in the state’s At Large Congressional race. Carney holds a commanding 52% of the vote to Republican Rose Izzo’s 18%. Libertarian Scott Gesty is at 8% and Green nominee Bernie August has 5%.
