Russ Millette, the former chairman-elect of the Alaska Republican Party, has joined the Constitution Party according to Ballot Access News. The controversial Millette was a Ron Paul advocate and elected party chair in 2012.
In early 2013, the Alaska GOP executive committee met and voted to remove Millette from his post hours before he was slated to take control of the party’s operations.
Millette mounted a gubernatorial campaign against incumbent Sean Parnell in the Republican primaries earlier this year. The ousted Millette finished second of four candidates, winning 10.6% of the vote behind Parnell’s 75% landslide win.
The Alaska Constitution Party’s chairman, J.R. Myers, is the party’s nominee for Governor and lone statewide candidate this year.
Don’t forget my running mate for Lt. Governor Maria Rensel.
