Astrid Sarvis, wife of Virginia Libertarian Senate nominee Rob Sarvis, starred in the campaign’s closing pitch to voters. She tells a touching story of how her brother has been sentenced 24 years in prison for marijuana possession. He has no property or violent crimes on his record and will be spending the bulk of his remaining years away from his young children and behind bars.
Robert Sarvis garnered more than 146,000 votes in last year’s race for Virginia governor and proved to be a major factor in that tight contest. This time around, he’s set his sights on capturing 10% of the vote and winning major party status for Libertarians in the state.
“Let’s vote for something we believe in,” Astrid Sarvis says in her closing. “If you believe in freedom, equal opportunity, and an end to policies that ravage our families, vote Robert Sarvis for U.S. Senate in Virginia on Nov. 4th.”
