Based on poll closing times, you can expect things to get really interesting after 7pm, when polls in Florida, Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina and Vermont will all have closed. In Florida, Georgia and Virginia there are strong statewide candidates running on the Libertarian line. Plus a few legislative and Congressional races worth watching.

In South Carolina, we’ll be looking to see how independent Thomas Ravenal does in the U.S. Senate race. Up in Vermont, the Progressive Party is defending a few legislative seats and seems well positioned to elect a Lt. Governor.

At 7:30pm, the polls will have closed in Ohio and we’ll get our first look at Libertarian Chad Monnin’s race for state house.

Then comes 8:00pm, and polls in Maine and Kansas will close. Greg Orman is holding a narrow lead in his bid to unseat incumbent Senator Pat Roberts.

We’ll be tracking results with you until well after midnight, when Alaska finally closes and we get a look at the governor’s race and several key legislative contests.

Here is more detailed party-by-party list of some of the races we’ll be keeping our eye on. It’s going to be an exciting night, so stick with us!
